Range Rover Rescues in RFC 2009
By Alyna Tai

A calls received at 11pm to bring down spares for a broken dry shalft for Yamin's Range Rover. His car broke down while going into camp 2 Sg Mas. We drove down after getting all the parts at 2am and reaching there 5.40am. After refueling and a good breakfast in Kahang we head straight into the abandoned car which is about 43 km esy off roading into the National Park. All was done by lunch time and head to the camp 2 of RFC as insisted by Yamin to support his injured vehicle by now is only 3 wheel. We left immediately the next morning for KL. Two other cars also left with us in one convoy in case it rains as the newly open track could spell trouble. The dusty track could become hell for all. 40 over bridges was build for a good competition in RFC with 30 over SS this year in the National Park.

S1, 3 Def110, 3 Def90, 1 RR, 1 Pajero and a Hilux. There's no stopping us from going to this trip even it was a rainny season. Azuin@Edy friends of lrom came despite having slight fever the day before. He don't want to miss this family trip that he was looking forward to. Two other new member also joined us for the first time together with a friend. While Hong came in with his friends Hilux to introduce them to lrom. The off road clinic did not start until the next day due to the non stop rain. A sea saw bridge was built with Satren and Nabil giving a hand for the bridge simulation. Yamin gave a short brief on waste management esp for the new members on rubbish.
The off road ended early and those interested to go hardcore continue up to the waterfall with Rambeer's Lr and Dusty driven by Atek. Kumar joined us later with Siva's Def 90.
A big Thank you to Shaharul, Yamin , members and friends for supporting the lrom.

Telemong-Landrovers affairs
By Alyna Tai

A private trip by Shah, Xmen and Blackhawk to test out Durai's new SIII to Telemong last weekend. It turns out to be a "pesta" as USJ came in 4 cars and flipped one during their early morning drive 1.30am. We were awaken hearing the commotions thinking a car roll down ravine but due to the river swell we could do nothing to cross over to help. They were signalling SOS with torch. Atek and boys wanted to swim across which i don't agreed as the water was too swift. They came in the heavy rain (dangerous drive) in the slippery downhill with too much drinking too. Then came the morning another 4 cars from Bera4x4 newbies lead by their so called leader. They also flipped one car a Pajero that was winch out by Satren and atek. After getting them out they drove to campsite for picnic and drove out leaving their flipped car again stalled in the middle of track. The rest went off without thinking of others. These kind of irresponsible people should be condemned. We tried to winch the abandon car to the side not knowing the car is without brakes and the car bang into our def causing much damage. The Pajero boy again came back to seek for help to tow his car out to the junction as he walked in to repair with a mechanic. This guy don’t even have a strap or shackle so having no choice atek , Kumar, Shah, Durai and friends tow him out in Kumar’s car. The boy wanted to join Lrom club but was rejected by Atek and he got a good long lecture too. Do not drink and drive and be responsible of the people u bring into off roading. Don't cause inconvenience and risking other peoples life.

LROM-MERDEKA CHARITY 4X4 RUN 2009
By Alyna Tai

Total of 11 cars - trotting the Tmn Negara for a night drive experience arriving at campsite of Sg Tekai at 3.30am. An early starts the next day gave us a bonus to have our picnic in Ulu Tembeling and a short cut through the village before arriving at our 2nd campsite of Kg Bantal. The convoy also stop at the Mat Daling village rambutan trees for a feast of the fruits before proceeding to the campsite in Kg Bantal. Convoy were given a choice to camp near the river or the super comfort of golf course camp. Most opts for the river under the scotching sun which later they change their mind. I hope everyone have a good time under the stars beside the Tembeling river. This is one of the longest off road trial we could find in M'sia so far. A special thanks to our friend the Ford family of Rizal all the way from Seremban, LC and Toyota group. The Toyota group - Sebastian, Loo, Eric, Hee and Billy Sim for the support. We had a great time together.

Segamat to Kuala Rompin Offroad Expedition
By

The event was held from 26 to 28 June 2009.28 scrambler and 9 4X4s was flagged off from Kg.Tengah municipal hall in Segamat at 10 am and come out from Selanchar 3 on the first stretch of easy track .
After topping up fuel at Selanchar, the convoy proceed to Centerawse trail head and head towards Kuala Rompin with a total off road distance of 200 KM.
The first part was easy as a breeze but came the afternoon rain and those 4X4s
without mud tires had to struggle on the hill climb. One bike went down 20 feet ravine when going down hill and lost control.Luckily the rider was not injured and the bike had to be winched up and there was no damage as well. After some the recovery ,the convoy proceeded through the slippery track in the rain and eventually we arrive at the river crossing of almost 3 feet deep.We were suppose to swim there but the water was not clean and thought of camping there and the altitude is only 18 meter and we decided to camp in the training camp at Pantai Hiburan which was prearrange by the organizer and all the 4X4s decided to set camp just outside the training as we are not allowed to drive in to the campsite.
We broke camp the next morning and 4 vehicles went to the Endow Rompin National park and swam at the waterfall and after having seafood lunch in Kuala Rompin,we took a slow drive home with 3 Suzuki following me trough Muazam Shah,Bahau,Titi (where we had our dinner) and head towards Ulu Langat
and K.L.
