Tips on battery maintainance

The six major keys to a longer battery service live are:

1 Follow the manufacturer's charging voltage and procedure when new.(this usualy left to the battery dealler and taken for granted)

2 Try to reduce the depth of discharge (ie especially not to crank for too long each time. if your engine cannot start.Try to crank atleast at 5 seconds intervals.)

3 Add only distill water when the electolyte level is low.

4 Try to keep the battery cool in hot temperature.

5 Reduce the number of charge/discharge cycle.

6 Periodiccally equalizing the battery.(A certain technic is used and can be done DIY and info for members only.)
